Sunday Morning Traditional Lutheran Worship Service

Come worship with us on Sunday mornings.
From Labor Day to Memorial Day, Immanuel offers two Traditional Sunday morning services, one at 8:30 and the other at 11:00. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Immanuel has one Traditional Sunday Service at 9:30am. Nursery is available, for children ages 5 and under. Saturday evenings, we offer a Praise worship Service at 6:00. The nursery is not available during the evening service.
Between the Sunday Worship services, from 9:30-10:45, during the school year, we have several Sunday Church School classes.

On Sunday mornings at Immanuel we worship in the sanctuary using one of the ten settings of the Lutheran liturgy found in Evangelical Lutheran Worship, our church's new worship book published in 2006. The service begins with a Welcome, Announcements,a brief order for confession and forgiveness followed by the opening hymn. The usual order for the service is as follows:

Hymns are chosen from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship, (the new red book), as well. Hymns are chosen based on their correspondence with the message of the day. Newer hymns as well as old favorites are sung based on what their words speak to us.
In May 2002, Immanuel members were asked what their favorite hymns were. here is the list of Immanuel's favorite hymns.

Immanuel has four choirs: an adult and three wonderful children's choirs. The Senior Choir sings weekly September through mid-June, alternating between the 8:30 and 11:00 services. The children's choirs sing occasionally throughout the school year.
