Teams at Immanuel
Teams were formerly called Committees. Teams are made up of members of Immanuel.
The different teams make decisions on how the different aspects of Immanuel should operate. If a team
is unclear about what they should to do, they will bring their suggestion to the
church council, for their recommendations.
The ELCA has a Spiritual
Gifts Assessment, if you would like to find out which team your gift(s) would best be suited for.
Christian Education meet for the spiritual educational
needs of Immanuel members- both young and old.
Communications This team will make sure there is a continuous communication process that ensures the congregation feels fully informed at all times. It also overlooks the web page, our Newsletter The Light.
Decorating is presently not being used.
The Endowment Fund overlooks the investments of the church.
Evangelism is all about reaching out and touching the lives of those around us, so that all may partake of the wonderful message of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Fellowship & Recreation This team coordinates the fellowship activities of Immanuel by promoting the development of Christian relationships among the members though various social gathering and recreational activities.
Finance prepares and presents the upcoming budget.
Global Mission Advocate It is the mission of The Global Mission Advocate to raise awareness in the congregation concerning the global scope and outreach of the ELCA.
Health Ministry Team This team has blood pressure clinics throughout the year, and advocates a healthy lifestyle for Immanuel members.
Marketing The marketing team will work to promote Immanuel.
Meals Ministry Our purpose is to offer the comfort of a prepared meal to members of Immanuel in their of need.
Memorial All of the undertakings of this committee are
discussed with the different committees and the families that are involved.
MOPs Mothers Of PreSchoolers is offered at Immanuel to help give mothers of preschool aged children a break and companionship.
Mutual Ministry Members of this team will be updating the job descriptions for the different positions within Immanuel.
Natural Church Development is a process that identifies eight Quality Characteristics that measure the health of a church.
Nominating This team contacts members of Immanuel to
ask if they would like to serve short periods of time on different teams.
Prayer Ministry This team works on the prayer needs of Immanuel. A member of the Prayer Team is available once a month for anyone in need at the Food Pantry at Immanuel
Property is responsible for the upkeep of the church
building and property.
Shawl Ministry Women at Immanuel knit or crochet shawls for Pastor Erick to deliver to those in need.
Social Ministry Immanuel's Social Ministry Team is charged with extending Christian compassion and helpfulness to the ill, the aged, the orphaned, the underprivileged, the imprisoned, and, in general, to persons of all ages in need of aid in body and soul.
Stewardship The emphasis of this team in 1999 was to
increase everyone's awareness that stewardship is much more than pledging or making a weekly offering.
Stephen Ministries is similar to our Care Corp by helping those in need. Unlike the Care Corp, those who are Stephen Ministers have been trained and have their skills updated.
Strategic Planning This task force was created to after our Capital Campaign to set goals and visions for Immanuel's future.
Tapestry is to help new members of Immanuel learn about
the different things Immanuel has to offer. A Spiritual Gifts Assessment is given, to help new members see where their talents can be used in Immanuel.
Wedding Coordinator Immanuel has two women who help brides, grooms and their family plan their special day.
Worship and Music The Team's main function is to ensure that the members of Immanuel are provided with the opportunity for meaningful worship.
Youth Ministry We have both an early & older elementary group and a senior high school group.
