Goals

  • Evangelism
    • Achieve an average attendance of 300 people per week by December 31, 2012.
      • Receive 50 new members each year.
      • Includes at least 20 new young families or individuals (ages 25-40).
      • Work with the Marketing Team to achieve these goals.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.

  • Stephen Ministries
    • Start a Stephen Ministry program by September 30, 2008.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.

  • Outreach
    • Form a 501(c)3 for the Food Pantry by June 30, 2008.
      • Complete action plan by January 31, 2008.

  • Staffing
    • Hire an Associate Pastor by June 30, 2009.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.
      • Begin the process by April 30, 2008.
    • Establish staffing plan to meet other staffing needs through December 31, 2012 and implement plan.
      • Examples: Volunteer Coordinator, full-time custodian, others.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.

  • Facilities
    • Achieve attractive and welcoming facilities in current building on a continuous basis.
      • Clean carpeting by December 31, 2007.
      • Determine what carpeting needs replacement by January 31, 2008 and replace by August 31, 2008.
      • Eliminate clutter in public areas by March 31, 2008.
      • Develop plan for further action by March 31, 2008.
    • Ensure the Spiess house is attractive and livable and repairs are completed by July 31, 2008.
      • Complete action plan by January 31, 2008.

  • Communications
    • Develop and implement a continuous communication process that ensures the congregation feels fully informed at all times.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.
      • Begin implementation by June 30, 2008.
      • Create a magazine that celebrates past successes by September 30, 2008 and update at least annually.
      • Utilize technology.
      • Revamp the web site.
      • Revamp The Light.

  • Worship
    • Create a worship atmosphere that provides gracious hospitality and ensures that the church is meeting the needs of new and existing worshipers.
      • Develop plan by May 15, 2008.
      • Implement the plan by September 7, 2008.
      • Have focus group meetings.

  • Marketing
    • Develop effective marketing strategy and implement to achieve an average attendance of 300 people per week by December 31, 2012.
      • Develop plan by March 31, 2008.
      • Begin implementation by June 30, 2008.
      • Create tri-fold brochure about Immanuel.
      • Create banners for wall on front of the church (temporary, seasonal).
      • Create direct mailing postcards.
      • Develop questionnaire card for visitors to learn about their wants and needs.
      • Work with Evangelism Team to achieve these goals.
