Stewardship Team
Stewardship is about sharing what God has given us, our time, talents and treasurers. The Stewardship Team is here to help teach people about our responsibilities as followers of Christ. We all are granted many gifts. We all have a lot to share. What gifts are you willing to share?
2 Corinthians 9: 6-9:
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
As it is written:
"He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever."

Stewardship Update
The past few years have been a growing experience for the Stewardship Team. With some inspired thought we
have moved into new territory with the last couple years in our Financial Response Campaign.
2008 Planning
The Stewardship Team decided upon Celebrate Generosity as this years theme. Several Cottage Meetings have been scheduled. The Bible study and sharing of our blessings and visions have been informative and thought provoking.
There will be a Leaders Dessert on Sunday November 2 at 6:30pm.
Commitment Weekend is November 8 & 9. The Stewardship Team will sponsor the Dessert Coffee Fellowship after the Saturday Praise Service. After the 11:00 Sunday Worship Service, there will be a buffet luncheon. The Stewardship Team will provide the meat and potatoes. We ask members to bring a dessert or salad. Please attend either service and if you plan to attend the Sunday luncheon, please contact the church office, 782-6081.
2007 Fall Stewardship Membership Response Drive
The theme is Attitude of Gratitude
The Stewardship Team has some great events planned for our Fall Campaign. This year we are focusing on our Church's Mission work. Jesus told his disciples to go out into the world and make believers of all peoples. We play a large part in our community and the Stewardship Team wants to emphasize our work and say Thank You! We also want to focus on what our church is planning in the coming year. We are planning on number of events during the Mission Week planned for November 5th though November 11th.
Please watch the Church kiosk and the weekly service bulletins for specific dates and times for these events.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18:20
2007 - Planning
The fall 2006 Financial Giving campaign (for 2007 Giving) was another success. A second, although different
themed, Relay method was used. The "Share the Gift" Campaign was slightly modified for our use and
allowed members to share with each other a small token of appreciation with each successive member on the
relay run.
2007 is off to a running start already. Stewardship is planning on being involved with a second round of
Ministry Minutes for the late spring and summer months. We also are planning on a Spiritual Gifts
assessment for our church members to be taken in the summer of 2007.
2006 - Summary of Events
The fall of 2005 brought in a new relay method that was very well received. More than 35 leaders of our
church coordinated 25 runs, which culminated in a record-breaking pledge campaign at Immanuel. The Pony
Express involved more people and gather a better number of responses than any previous year.
During the summer month in 2006 twelve teams and groups in our church got up during our weekly
Ministry Minute (or so ). These temple talks helped to raise awareness to the churches teams and
groups who decide to give the minutes worth of information. We are looking forward to renew these Ministry
Minutes again this summer and throw in a few twists.
MISSION STATEMENT
Joyfully proclaiming the Good News of Jesus in word and action,
growing in faith and discipleship, and caring for one another.
