Immanuel's Senior Choir

The senior choir rehearses from 7-8:30 pm on Wednesday evenings. We are always interested in welcoming new members.

Lynda Childs is a graduate of the MSU School of Music, and has completed post-graduate work in music at MSU, EMU, WMU and Spring Arbor College. She has been married to Neil for 41 years. They have two grown children who live too far away! They also have two wonderful grandchildren. Lynda is retired from public school music teaching at Springport and Vandercook Lake. In her spare time she enjoys photography, reading, writing, canoeing and swimming. Neil and Lynda have a small hobby farm where they raise lambs, fruits and vegetables. They love to vacation in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of Minnesota.

Qualifications for choir members include: love for the Lord, an interest in all types of sacred music, a sense of humor, willingness to attend rehearsals and sing on Sunday. An ability to read music is desirable; however if you can sing in tune and are "teachable" we will help you to succeed! Anyone from senior high age to senior citizens are welcome in choir.

Interested persons should come to a choir practice and sing with us. We enjoy a lighthearted fellowship while making good music to enhance Immanuel's worship.
