This page is for questions frequently ask about Immanuel, along with their answers.

Q. Where is Immanuel?
A. Immanuel is located on one of the busiest streets in Jackson. We are close to Westwood Mall, at the corner of West Michigan and Brown.

Q. Where is parking for Immanuel?
A. Immanuel has a parking that you can get into off of Brown Street, and parking is allowed on South Higby.

Q. Who is the contact person for membership?

Q. What are the office hours?
A. Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Q. What are the Pastor's office hours?
A. Pastor Erick's hours vary depending upon what is happening. Generally he is at the church Monday-Thursday having Fridays off. It's best to call the church office at 517-782-6081 if you need to speak with him.

Q. Does Immanuel have programs for children?
A. Yes. We have an Elementary Youth group for pre-school- 6th grades.

Q. Does Immanuel have programs for teens?
A. Yes. We have a Senior High Youth group for 7th- 12th grades.

Q. Are there study groups?
A. Immanuel has different Bible studies throughout the public school year. Check our Christian Education page for more details.

Q. Does Immanuel allow other groups to use the facilities?
A. Yes. PFLAG, MOPS, Hospice, the Men's Chorus, Tuesday Musical, Mother's of Multiples are just a few groups. Different groups use our parking lot in the summer for car washes too.

Q. How do you go about getting permission to use the facilities?
A. The group leader asks our secretary for a use of building form. The calendar will be checked for the date(s) you asked for, then it goes to our church council for approval.

Q. Is their a cost to use Immanuel's facilities?
A. There is no cost to use our classrooms. There is a $10.00 fee to help cover water for the car washes. If you use Luther Hall (our basement) there is a custodian fee.

Q. When is communion?
A. Communion is offered at every weekend service. Check out Communion page for more details.

Q. What is the church affiliation?
A. Immanuel is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, ELCA

Q. Do you have to be a member of Immanuel to have your child baptised?
A.No

Q. Do you have to be a member to have your wedding at Immanuel?
A. No. The only requirement is that you use our Wedding Coordinator

Q. Can another Pastor preform your wedding?
A.Yes

Q. Do all services have a nursery?
A. Not at the moment. Our TraditionalSunday morning services have a nursery. For the present, our Saturday evening Praise service does not.

Q. What ages are allowed in the nursery?
A. Newborn up to 5. We feel children ages 5 and above are old enough to sit through a service. However if you feel they are being disruptive and taking them into the Narthex hasn't worked, you can bring them into the nursery.

Q. How is a parent notified that their child needs them?
A. One of the nursery workers will come into the sanctuary.

Q. Can you bring your child to the nursery anytime during the service?
A. Before the service or anytime during is fine with us.

Q. Do you have to be a member of Immanuel to have your funeral there?
A.No
