MISSION STATEMENT

Parish Health Ministry is a ministry of Christian service shaped by Christ's concern for all aspects of the human condition, which concentrates on the specific needs that relate to the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of its members and to the wider community (January 2005)

are on alternate months- during our Saturday evening service and our 11:00 Sunday service.

2007 HAPPENINGS

  • Eight members of Immanuel became certified in CPR and AED use. It's anticipated that another Heartsaver/AED course will be offered in April or May.
  • Blood Pressure screening clinics conducted once a month on Saturdays for Food Pantry recipients. Once a month on Sundays for Immanuel members. There is no Blood Pressure clinic during the months of June, July & December.
  • Table tents featuring stroke signs and symptoms as well as emergency care will be placed on tables during the Blood Pressure clinics.
  • Nursing students from Jackson Community College assist during the Blood Pressure clinics four times a year as a part of their education.
  • Health Ministry members have been placing articles in The Light under a column titled The Healthy Soul.
