Pastor David Mann Pastor David Mann
All of us at Immanuel want to wish pastor David A. Mann a happy retirement. Pastor Mann came to us in 1988, with his last day at Immanuel was August 31, 1999. A retirement dinner was held September 12, 1999.

Interim Pastor Nancy Eaton-Reding Interim Pastor Nancy Eaton-Reding
Pastor Nancy was the interim pastor at Immanuel, and she has served congregations throughout Michigan. She graduated with a Master's degree of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH in 1987 and was ordained by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in 1988.
Pastor Nancy passed away after a brief struggle with leukemia. She died Sunday, January 30, 2000 at the Ingham Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Memorials for Pastor Nancy can be made to either the Leukemia Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

Interim Pastor Don Herdman Interim Pastor Donald Herdman
Reverend Herdman began on March 1, 2000 as Immanuel's new Interim Pastor. Pastor and his wife Vivian, live in Battle Creek. He retired from full-time ministry on October 31, 1999. Pastor and Vivian have one son who lives in Olympia, Washington. Vivian is a retired music teacher.
All of us at Immanuel want to wish Pastor Don a happy retirement. Pastor Don's last sermon at Immanuel was Sunday May 13, 2001.

Intern Pastor Scott Mauch Intern Pastor Scott Mauch
Scott Mauch began serving at Immanuel on August 26, 2002. Scott divided his time between Immanuel and St. James. On August 2nd & 3rd, members of Immanuel said "See you again" to Scott. During the Praise Service, Witness IV preformed We Will Serve the Lord a song that Geoff Williams wrote for Scott. Later in the service, members of the Praise Team preformed the song. Geoff presented Scott a framed copy of the song signed by Praise Team members.

Scott was ordained on May 22, 2004 in his home church of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hobart, Indiana. Scott and Sherry now live in Lebanon, Indiana, where Scott is Pastor for Trinity Lutheran church.
The Webmaster adds that Trinity Lutheran Church, will be very lucky to have Scott for their Pastor.

Intern Pastor Vicky BloughIntern Pastor Vicky Blough
Vicky Blough began serving at Immanuel on August 24, 2003. Vicki divided her time between Immanuel and St. James Lutheran Church. The weekend of July 18th & 19th, 2004 Vicky bid farewell to members of Immanuel. During the Saturday Praise Service, Vicky was surprised with a song composed for her by Geoff Williams. The song, Go To All was sung during the offering, and Geoff presented Vicki with a framed copy of the song, signed by members of the Praise Team.
Saturday August, 7th Vicky spent her last evening in Jackson helping with the Saturday Praise Service. Unbeknownst to her, Vicky was the only vocalist! The webmaster thanks Vicky for her assistance.

Vicky was ordained on August 27, 2005 11am at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Elkhart, Indiana. Vicky has also been called to St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Liberty, Indiana. We wish her well at her new church.

Intern Pastor Zac SturmIntern Pastor Zac Sturm
Zac and his new wife Jana (they were married in July 2004) moved into their South Jackson Street the week of August 16th, 2004. Zac divided his time between Immanuel and St. James Lutheran Church. Zac was installed on at Immanuel on Saturday August 28 and Sunday August 29.
Immanuel memberships bid farewell to Zac and Jana on Sunday August 7th and on Saturday August 13th, 2005. Before the August 13th service, Zac and Jana were presented with Yellow Roses. During the Saturday Praise Service, Zac was presented with a song composed for him by Geoff Williams. The song, By Grace Alone was the ending hymn, and Kirk presented Zac a framed copy of the song, signed by members of the Praise Team.

On Saturday July 22, 2006, members of Immanuel were able to say best wishes to Zac and Jana before his ordination on Sunday July 30th at MacAuthor Park Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas. On August 7th, Zac begins his call at Peace Lutheran Church in Sullivan, Missouri. Everyone at Immanuel wishes Zac the best at his new church. We also wish Jana well when she begins teaching history to the 7th graders.

Intern Pastor Jessica Lambert Intern Pastor Jessica Lambert
Jessica was installed at St. James Lutheran Church on August 21st, and at Immanuel on August 27th and 28th.
On July 29th, members of the Intern Committee, had a sub supper for Jessica and her new husband Nathan at Immanuel. During the Praise Service, which followed the supper, Geoff Williams surprised Jessica with a signed (by Praise Team members) and framed copy of Put the Yoke on my Shoulder the song he wrote for her. After the presentation, the Praise Team performed the song.
On August 12th & 13th, Immanuel members wished Jessica and Nathan good wishes as they go back to Chicago. On Saturday, Pastor Erick presented Jessica with a gift of a check from Immanuel members.

On June 10, 2007 Jessica accepted her first call. Beginning July 15 she will be the pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. Jessica was ordained on September 16, 2007.

Intern Pastor Eliza Daniel Intern Pastor Eliza Daniel
Eliza was installed at Immanuel on September 3rd and September 4th.
On August 8th, the intern committee had an appetizer/dessert going away party for Eliza and John. Songs about Seattle and rain were played.
The weekend of August 11-12, members of Immanuel bid Eliza and Robert farewell. On Saturday evening, at the Praise Service, Pastor Erick presented Robert and Eliza a check as their going away present. On Sunday, during the 11:00 Worship Service, Geoff Williams presented Eliza with a copy of I'll Raise My Nets, the song he wrote for her. The song was in a frame and signed by Praise Team members.
Members of Immanuel wish Eliza and Robert the best. Eliza did a year CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) residency at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She transferred to Seattle U to finish her studies. In 2009 she is in the process of becoming consecrated as a Diaconal Minister in the ELCA and becoming certified as a hospital chaplain.

Intern Pastor Michelle Werner Intern Pastor Michelle Werner
Michelle and her husband Kurt moved into the Spiess House in May, 2008. She began her internship at Immanuel by attending a Stephen Ministries training session in Pennsylvania with Pastor Erick and Connie Young. Michelle was installed at Immanuel at the Praise Service on Saturday August 16th and Traditional Service on Sunday August 17th.

At the Saturday July 25, 2009, Priase Service, Geoff Williams presented Michelle with a framed copy of It's a Blessing the song he wrote for her. The Praise Team played the song for Michelle. This was done a week before her farewell and godspeed because Geoff was not able to be there. On Saturday August 1st, as a prelude The Praise Team played Michelle's song. During the Farewell and Godspeed, Pastor presented Michelle with a vial of annointing oil and several checks. Both the Saturday and Sunday Coffee Fellowships were in honor of Michelle.
